About Benjamin Aquilina

Benjamin is a highly experienced Occupational Hand Therapist with over 15 years of clinical expertise in Malta and the United Kingdom. He currently serves as a Clinical Tutor at the University of Malta and possesses vast experience across both the public and private sectors. Benjamin brings a genuine enthusiasm to the specialised assessment and treatment of the hand, driven by the immense satisfaction of helping patients regain functional use and independence in their daily lives.

 

Qualifications & Expertise

Benjamin’s practice is built on a strong academic foundation and international experience:

·        BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy from University of Malta (2009).

·        MSc in Hand Therapy from Brunel University, London, UK (2012).

·        Specialised Training: Accredited by the British Association of Hand Therapists (BAHT), with advanced skills in splinting, wound management, and chronic pain prevention.

·        Clinical Experience: Extensive background working within major trauma, orthopaedic and plastic surgery units in the UK (including Chelsea and Westminster and Oxford University Hospitals), treating a wide range of complex hand injuries.
